We’ll ask you to complete a detailed questionnaire and provide photos to help us understand the characteristics that matter to you most in your search for the right egg donor. Through this questionnaire and in-depth conversations with your Match Coordinator, we’ll gain a clear picture of the traits you hope to find in an egg donor. How long will my search take? We’ll share egg donor profiles that fit your criteria as we find them, and we typically begin sending clients profiles within just a couple of days. A complete search takes up to one month, during which we usually provide approximately 20 to 80 profiles, depending on criteria.
What is included in an egg donor profile? While each agency may include different details, egg donor profiles generally contain a wealth of information, including the donor's health history, family history, educational background, physical characteristics, and interests. Most profiles also feature a photo gallery with recent pictures and, sometimes, childhood photos. We will share all the information and photos provided by the agency, along with any additional details we gather about the donor that may not be included in the profile. Our goal is to provide you with as much information as possible to help you make the best, most informed decision.
You give me the donor profiles—then what? Once you’ve made your official egg donor selection, we will introduce you to the agency representing your donor so you can finalize the match. For clients with specific privacy concerns or those seeking ongoing assistance throughout their fertility journey, additional services are available through our Fertility Vault Program.
How is Family Match Consulting different from an egg donor agency? Not every egg donor agency has the right donors available for every client, which can place a heavy burden on the client to conduct the search themselves. Do I need to choose a donor who lives locally to my doctor's office? Not necessarily. Most egg donors are willing to travel as needed for the cycle, and expanding your search to other areas will provide you with more options. You will be responsible for their travel fees, so the overall cost may be higher if the donor is required to travel.
