PRIVACY POLICY
Last Updated: September 1, 2026
Family Match Consulting, LLC ("Family Match Consulting," "FMC," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit our website, request a consultation, subscribe to our newsletter, submit a surrogate pre-screen application, or otherwise provide information to us.
Our website is primarily informational. We provide education and resources about egg donor, sperm donor, and surrogate search and consulting services. We are a consulting firm. We are not a medical provider, fertility clinic, surrogacy agency, insurance company, or law firm, and we do not provide medical, legal, insurance, or clinical advice through the website.
This Privacy Policy is written for visitors and users in the United States. If you access the site from another country, your information may be processed in the United States.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
We collect personal information that you choose to give us through website forms and communications. Depending on how you use the site, this may include:
Consultation requests. When you request a consultation, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, state of residence, the service you are interested in, spouse or partner name, when you hope to start the process, the name of your fertility doctor (if any), how you heard about us, and any other information you choose to share in the message field.
Newsletter. If you opt in to receive our newsletter, we collect your email address.
Surrogate pre-screen application. If you submit a surrogate application, we collect name and contact details, pregnancy history, and other basic information you provide so we can assess whether you may meet preliminary qualification criteria. This form is a pre-screen only. Submitting it does not create a surrogate-agency relationship and does not mean your information will be shared with intended parents or agencies.
Other communications. If you email or otherwise contact us, we collect the information you include in that communication.
You do not have to provide personal information to browse the informational portions of the website. If you do not provide information requested on a form, we may be unable to respond, schedule a consultation, send the newsletter, or review a pre-screen application.
Sensitive Information
The surrogate pre-screen may include pregnancy or reproductive history. We treat that information as sensitive personal information. We use it only to evaluate preliminary qualification and to communicate with you about that inquiry. We do not use it to infer characteristics about you for advertising.
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the website, we and our service providers may collect certain information automatically, including IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, referring website, date and time of visit, and general usage information.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Hosting is provided through GoDaddy, and the site is built on Sanity.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to inquiries and consultation requests and reach out to schedule a consultation;
- Communicate with you about our services;
- Review surrogate pre-screen applications for preliminary qualification;
- Send newsletters and related updates if you opt in;
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the website;
- Understand website traffic and usage through analytics;
- Maintain business records; and
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
Consultation requests are routed to our customer relationship management system (currently Copper) so our team can follow up. If we implement an email platform for the newsletter (such as Constant Contact), your email address will be stored there for that purpose.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not share surrogate pre-screen applications with intended parents, agencies, or clinics from the website form.
We may share information with trusted service providers that help us operate the website and business, including website hosting and content platforms, our CRM, email or newsletter providers, analytics providers, and similar vendors. These providers may access information only as needed to perform services for us.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the rights and safety of others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business.
4. Cookies and Analytics
The website may use cookies and similar technologies that help the site function and that allow Google Analytics to measure traffic and usage. Your browser may let you block or delete cookies. Blocking certain cookies may affect how some parts of the site work.
Google Analytics is operated by Google. Google's use of information is described in Google's own privacy materials. You may be able to limit certain Google Analytics collection through browser settings or Google's available opt-out tools.
5. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to respond to you, maintain business records, and meet legal requirements.
We do not currently use a fixed deletion schedule for consultation or pre-screen records. If you want us to delete information you submitted, contact us using the information below. We may retain limited records if we are required to do so by law or if deletion would interfere with ongoing communications you requested.
6. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No website, email transmission, or method of storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Privacy Choices
You may contact us to request that we update or correct personal information you provided, or to ask that we delete information where appropriate.
You may opt out of newsletter and other marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in those emails or by emailing us.
Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information.
8. California Residents
If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, including the right to request:
- The categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you;
- The categories of sources of that information;
- The business or commercial purposes for collecting it;
- The categories of third parties to whom we disclose it;
- Correction of inaccurate personal information; and
- Deletion of personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
You also have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising privacy rights.
Categories of personal information we may collect include identifiers (such as name, email, phone number, and IP address); commercial or service-inquiry information; internet or electronic activity (such as browsing data collected through analytics); professional or other information you choose to provide; and, for surrogate pre-screen applicants, sensitive personal information relating to pregnancy or reproductive history.
We collect this information from you and from automated technologies on our website. We use it for the purposes described in Section 2. We disclose it to service providers as described in Section 3.
Sale and sharing. We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted for providing the services you requested.
To make a request, email us at info@familymatchconsulting.com. We will need enough information to verify that you are the person the request concerns. You may use an authorized agent as permitted by law.
9. Children's Privacy
Our website and services are intended for adults.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information to us through the website, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
10. Third-Party Websites
The website may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. Review their privacy policies before providing information to them.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last Updated" date at the top. The updated policy applies to information collected after the effective date and to existing information as described in the updated policy.
